Back Pack and School Supplies Fundraiser and Bake Sale
Spirit and Life Fellowship Church in Marina is hosting a bake sale Saturday August 1st from 10am-3pm to raise money to buy backpacks and school supplies for the local kids in Marina who are in need this year of school supplies.
The recession has hit hard to so many families in our community, this is our way of giving back to those that have been struggling. School is a very important time in children’s lives; they need to be equipped with the right tools to get them off on a good start.
We are asking the community to please show your support on Saturday
August 1st by purchasing baked goods or by donating school supplies.
Children will need pencils, binders, notebooks, rulers, glue sticks,
erasers, etc. For a list of additional supplies you may go to the local
school websites for a complete list.
All the proceeds will go directly to purchasing backpacks and the school supplies that will be filled in the backpacks.
Families that are in need of backpacks may come to the bake sale and register for a backpack for their child.
