SENIOR PRODUCE MARKET
The Senior Produce Market has re-opened! With the support of Epiphany Lutheran and Episcopal Church, City of Marina, the Episcopal Senior Communities is able to provide seniors and families with low cost fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis.
As part of its mission, Episcopal Senior Communities is committed to serving elders in the greater community. Through one of its programs, the Foundation serves seniors, providing access to fresh and affordable produce.
Episcopal Senior Communities currently subsidizes approximately 12 produce markets throughout Northern California. Volunteers sustain these Senior Markets. All produce is fresh each week.
Every Tuesday a fully stocked produce market is provided 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in the Marina Rocky Han Community Center, 211 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina. The Tuesday morning routine is, the produce is delivered; volunteers and staff artfully arrange and fill wicker baskets with fruits and vegetables. Free snacks, nutritional education and cooking instructions are available. Fruits and vegetables at wholesale prices in a safe and convenient location.
