CSUMB/City of Marina Youth Basketball Camp
City of Marina partners with the CSUMB men’s and woman’s basketball team to offer Marina youth a four day basketball camp held July 20-23 at the Otter Sports Center on the campus of CSUMB. The camp was held from 9:00 am to12 noon for grades K-2 (conducted by CSUMB assistant men’s coach Nick Racklin and Marina Recreation staff Ron Powell, Jordan Heath, Henrai Harrison, Anthony Johnson and Michael Smith) and for grades 3-5 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm (conducted by CSUMB head women’s coach Rene Jimez and players from the women’s team along with City of Marina Recreation staff Jordan Heath and Henrai Harrison. Each day the campers participated in various fundamental building drills as well as teamwork and good sportsmanship sessions. Coaches and staff made sure each day was fun filled! Each camper received a CSUMB basketball and tee shirt. City of Marina Recreation & Cultural Services sends a special thanks to the CSUMB men and women’s basketball programs for their continued support!
