FRIENDS OF THE MARINA LIBRARY BOOK SALE
Recycling at its best! Donors get a tax deduction. The Library gets needed funds. And book lovers get great books at great prices!
Looking for a good book? The Friends of the Marina Library have thousands of them, and they will all be on sale at the library during our Fall Book Sale in September. The book sale will offer a wide variety of donated, gently-read literature for both children and adults at bargain prices. Build your home library while contributing to a good cause and protecting the environment! Recycle & Re-Read! Proceeds are used to purchase new library materials and fund library programs for all ages.
The Member Preview Sale is Friday, September 18th, 2009 from 4 to 6pm. (Shoppers can take advantage of this “early bird” sale simply by paying a small membership fee at the door.) The Public Book Sale is on Saturday, September 19th from 10am to 4pm. Book Sale Location: The Marina Library Community Room - 190 Seaside Circle (off Reservation Road), Marina, CA. We recommend bringing along a sturdy canvas book bag to carry your treasures…or purchasing a “Friends of the Marina Library” book bag at the event!
Tax-deductible donations of books in good condition will be gladly accepted Tuesday and Wednesday, September 15th and 16th from 12pm to 8pm and Thursday and Friday, September 17th and 18th from 10am to 5pm. (Please do not leave books outside.) Textbooks; encyclopedias; and books in poor condition, such as books with loose or missing pages or those that are water-damaged, mildewed, or odorous are not accepted for donation.
